“I have learned more about marketing here in four months, than the 4 years of my international business degree, specialising in marketing.”
Ok…
Here is why we claim that we are the best option for students in the beginning of their academic career.
We don’t want to pat ourselves in the back too much, at PRIME MOVERS, we are all about the growth of our members.
We know our mission of creating leaders of change does not come easy.
Therefore, we established five important categories that we work towards for your personal and professional growth.
1. Content (Skills that last a lifetime)
“The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows” – Sydney Harris
It is no secret that we have a lot of workshops ready for you. What is not usually obvious to younger students, is that the content that we teach is often things that you cannot find in your studies at university.
I think it is best summed up by a quote from one of our alumni:
“I have learned more about marketing here in four months, than the 4 years of my international business degree, specialising in marketing.”

2. Community
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” – Hellen Keller
We understand that growth and comfort do not co-exist.
You have to seek discomfort, and be uncomfortable in order to develop yourself personally and professionally.
And we know that it is not easy.
It can in fact be really daunting.
Being surrounded by a group of like-minded people as you learn and develop, and feel that support is crucial for your development.
But of course, having some fun along the way too!
3. Mentorship
“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself” – Oprah Winfrey
Besides, content and community, there is another piece of the puzzle that is important for your development.
If you’re not familiar with Greta’s story of how she overcame her fear of public speaking by pitching for 20,000EUR, you can click here to read it.
These are things that you cannot learn at university or on Google.
It’s about someone seeing your potential, and providing constant support and direction to enable you to achieve it.
4. Learning by doing
“The best way of learning about anything is by doing” – Richard Branson
Some of us did not want to accept this.
But, when you graduate from your degree, and start a job, you start to realise how much you don’t know.
You ask yourself, how is it that I studied this topic exactly for four years (optimistically), and still don’t really know how to quite do this job?
The reason is the lack of application.
An educator, Edgar Dale theorised that in a duration of 2 weeks time, we remember only 10% of what we read, and 90% of what we participate in.
But that’s not all.
The second reason why you should apply your learning as soon as possible is because we do not know yet, what we want to do in life.
This is impossible to achieve through books, and hearing stories about others online.
You must have a safe zone where you are able to test and fail and get direction and support.
When you explore different things, you learn about new interests, and how those interests could develop into a passion, and how you can make that your profession, if you so wish to.
5. Network
“Behind every successful person, there are many successful relationships” – Joe Apfelbaum, CEO, Ajax Union
This is not something that younger students worry about yet, until they realise after graduating how important it really is.
While you don’t have to network, we understand the significance of networking for your future.
And we act like it.
Whether it is going to meet ups together, attending conferences or our Partnerships workshop, we create plenty of opportunities for you to integrate into local and international ecosystems, where you have a chance to build successful relationships for your future.
Well, there you go.
Remember.
You don’t have to know your passion(s) or what you want to do in the future.
But you do have the option to give yourself the best opportunities to find out.
What are you going to choose to do?
